Help ACAT Help Cats
ACAT formed in late 2009 because of a need to help cats and to help humans help cats. While ACAT expends a lot of its resources directly helping felines, we know our mission includes education, outreach and coordination with other rescue groups, both private and government.
ACAT is a nonprofit corporation, and became a 501c3, federally recognized nonprofit in January 2011 (retroactive to March 10, 2010). Donations to ACAT are fully tax deductible under this designation. It allows people who cannot foster kittens or those who cannot afford to donate without tax benefits an outlet to help felines while benefitting themselves. Ask your tax consultant for details.
Countering the cat overpopulation problem and reaching the point that virtually all cats are wanted and loved with take a concerted effort. We invite you to be part of our Team through volunteering, donating or by becoming a member of ACAT.
