Help ACAT Help Cats
ACAT formed in the fall of 2009 because of a need to help cats and to help humans help cats. While ACAT expends a lot of its resources directly helping felines, we know our mission includes education, outreach and coordination with other rescue groups, both private and government.
ACAT is a nonprofit corporation. One of our goals is to make ACAT a 501c3, federally recognized nonprofit. Nonprofit paperwork is being processed by the IRS and we expect to have our status by late 2010. That will allow people who cannot foster kittens or those who cannot afford to donate without tax benefits an outlet to help felines while benefitting themselves.
Countering the cat overpopulation problem and reaching the point that virtually all cats are wanted and loved with take a concerted effort. We invite you to be part of our Team through volunteering, donating or by becoming a member of ACAT.

You can join our team. If you believe that every cat and kitten should be loved and cared for; If you believe in responsible pet ownership; If you believe that companion animals deserve our love and respect, you are a candidate for ACAT.
