About this Cat

Nala is a shorthaired white and tabby spayed female kitten with beautiful green-gold eyes. She was born about 6/7/19. She is feline leukemia positive.

Nala is part of a cat family abandoned by her human family at only 6 weeks old. Nala and her two siblings came into foster care with their mother, Madonna.

Nala is a bit shy, but is also playful. She loves to be loved on and held most days. Her favorite sleeping place is in the basket of the tree house.

Nala is dewormed and has her kitten shots.

Feline-leukemia positive kitties can live a relatively healthy life for years, but will expose unvaccinated kitties to the disease. They should not be in direct contact with cats that have not been vaccinated regularly against the leukemia virus. Feleuk-positive kitties may have a compromised immune system.  This disease does not affect humans or dogs. It is a highly variable disease, with outcomes ranging from early death to the animal eliminating the disease from its body and living a healthy life. Please consult your vet before considering a special needs kitty. Reputable information on feline leukemia is available from the Veterinary Partner website.

Nala is fostering with Stephanie, 907-406-0156, east Anchorage.  Text or call for more information. She will be homed at a low adoption fee.

Serious inquiries should include ACAT’s preadoption application.  For general information, contact ACAT at 907-982-2228.
